Blind Date

Blind Date by Bella Jewel

The twist that could’ve been. 🤦 SPOILER ALERT

This will be quick. I usually don’t bother reviewing books like this, but the missed opportunity here kept bothering me.

These books are barely a step above Harlequin romance, but I still enjoy them because they’re simple, fun, and obviously not meant to be taken seriously. That said, this one was next-level predictable. What makes it worse is there’s an unintentional setup for a twist that would’ve been way better.

*SPOILER*

The reveal in the book: 😒 The guy she’s dating is the killer. You could see it coming from the very start.

The twist that could’ve been: 🤦 Early on, the main character goes on a blind date with a guy who seems stuck on his ex. It would’ve been so much better if he actually was the killer and his ex was one of his previous victims.
